To celebrate the 48th Earth Day, a thrilling photo competition jointly organized by Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, the National Geopark Network Center,and the Management Office of Land and Resources Science Popularization Base is on going. Funiushan Global Geopark actively organizes staff to participate in the competition and totally selects 29 photography works on the theme of the Earth Day.

        The competition is mainly on geoparks. By the precious pictures, the public can discover the evolution and development of the earth, the independent relationship among humans, animals and plants, and the wonderful moments of life on the earth using resources. This competition, in response to “Sustainable Tourism Development Year” by UN, fully demonstrates the unique and splendid story of earth in China’s geoparks, strengthening the understanding of relationship between humans and the earth, enhancing the reputation of geoparks, advocating healthy and sustainable tourism, and promoting the aim of harmonious relationship between humans and nature. Since the beginning of the competition from March 28, over 2,000 outstanding works by professional photography lovers have been submitted, covering 112 geoparks nationwide.
