On July 15, an express conference on the economic operation and the promotion of major projects in the first half of 2016 was held in Xixia County. In the conference, a goal was put forward that during the “13th Five-year Plan” period, Xixia County would endeavor to be an influential, efficient and ecological economic model country, a leading poverty-stricken area in Qinba district, and an economic and transportation center in the intersection of Henan province, Hubei province and Shanxi province.

        In the first half of this year, Xixia County put great effort to push the construction projects, among which the Menghua freeway Xixia section has received 700 million yuan investment , the geological survey and demarcation have finished, the building barriers have been cleared, and 20 early construction spots have started; Besides, the authorization request of the construction of Luanxi freeway Xixia section has been submitted and will be built soon; And the preparation work of reconstruction of G209 Xixia section has completed, and it is due to start.

        In the construction of being an influential, efficient and ecological economic model country, Xixia County will strengthen the ecological environment construction comprehensively, will plan the three types of functional zones rationally（priority development zones, restricted development zones and forbidden development zones）, will provide better supporting policies for the main functional areas, will focus on building an important national functional zone in central and western region, will focus on developing eco-industries, eco-agriculture, eco-tourism and eco-towns, and will explore new developing ways of industrialization, informatization, urbanization, agriculture modernization and greenization.
