Baihe is the mother river and the source of life in Nanyang City. It is closely related to the life of the citizens. With the development of urban pattern and scale of Nanyang City, urban development has been transformed from the mode of "along river development" to the mode of "cross river development", and now will be gradually transformed into the mode of "embrace river development". Now, 10 Scenes of Baihe has been Announced (in turn, Zhishengcaolu, Shangwhengyongxing, Keshengwansi. Meicheng Ancient Rhyme, Yishengliufang Gaotaishengji, Nandu Charm, City CleanWind, Qingxi Fishing, Duyuduxiu).  They are the ten scenic spots which can reflect the cultural characteristics of Nanyang and the Baihe River, and are also the charming point of long green belt between the two banks of the Baihe River.

    In order to protect the ecological environment, to meet the flood control requirements, to create a beautiful environment which reflects the beautiful natural scenery and the colorful historical culture, we strive to build the Baihe Wetland Park as a model for the construction of the Urban Wetland Park in the Central Plains and create a "new business card" of the "Central Plains Water City" of Nanyang.

    As a functional compound city wetland park, the White River National Urban Wetland Park will become a large wetland ecological park with the main functions of urban tourism and leisure, wetland appreciation, historical and cultural appreciation, ecological protection and restoration, physical fitness and urban flood control.
