In order to popularize the paleontological science knowledge of Nanyang Dinosaur Egg Nature Reserve and stimulate students' thirst for knowledge and exploration of nature, on November 13, Han Qian, a volunteer for science popularization in Nanyang Nature Reserve and teacher of the Fourth Junior Middle School of Yongcheng City, Henan Province, used the evening self-study time to "Nanyang, the land of dinosaurs' pulsating '" as the theme. Nanyang and its abundant dinosaur egg fossil resources were introduced to science popularization. More than 40 teachers and students of the whole class participated in the activities at the Tencent conference.
Before the lecture, Teacher Han recalled the memory of 2017 Funiu Mountain Science Popularization Volunteer training camp by referring to relevant materials, and also sorted out and summarized the science popularization knowledge learned during the training; In the lecture, Teacher Han led out the protagonist of this lecture, "Nanyang", and then introduced the Nanyang dinosaur egg group known as "the ninth wonder of the world". In order to facilitate the students' understanding, Ms. Han combined the courseware content with the seventh grade Chinese and geography knowledge. By explaining the geographical location of Nanyang, the role of mountains, the classification and habits of dinosaurs, etc., the students had a deeper understanding of the Nanyang Dinosaur Egg Nature Reserve and its precious dinosaur egg fossil resources.
As a native of Henan, it is necessary for students in primary and secondary schools to understand the natural resources of Henan. In order to make up for students' lack of understanding of dinosaurs and dinosaur fossils, Mr. Han will continue to introduce Nanyang and dinosaur egg fossil knowledge to students, visualize the legendary hegemon of the earth, stimulate students' interest in knowledge, cultivate students' awareness of love for nature and courage to explore, and continue to promote school science popularization and quality education.
