On March 30^th, Nanyang Funiushan UGGp Administration held the 2021 management meeting of Funiushan UGGp. Directors in charge and heads of Zhenping, Neixiang, Xixia and Xichuan County bureaus attended the meeting together with heads of Neixiang County Yamen, Baotianman, Xixia dinosaur Relic Park and Laojieling scenic spot, and all staff of Nanyang Funiushan UGGp Administration.

In the wake of work reports of each county bureau, scenic spot and committee departments in the morning, Fang Cheng, the director of the Management Committee, summarized and reviewed management progress of the geopark in 2020, deeply analyzed the complex situation and rare potential opportunities faced by the current work, defined objectives and tasks in 2021, and put forward new requirements and ideas for a satisfactory performance in the next year. It has provided strong pertinence and guidance for us to comprehensively promote the management of the geopark under new situation.

In the afternoon, the Administration offered a formal invitation to Cao Xiqiang, an expert from Henan Academy of Land and Resources Sciences, to conduct training on matters related to the 2022 reassessment of Funiushan UGGp. Cao Xiqiang gave a lecture on four aspects respectively: definitions of geopark, general introduction of Funiushan, deeper information of Funiushan UGGp and requirements of reassessment. He conducted a comprehensive and systematical explanation of the development history of the geopark, the geological and geomorphic evolution process of Funiushan, as well as typical geological relics of Funiushan UGGp and its scientific value. He also pointed out the development direction of the park under new situation and gave comprehensive guidance to the reassessment work. With rich contents, strong guidance and pertinence, the training further enhanced the understanding of Management Committee, county bureaus and scenic spots toward the reassessment work, updated work concept and defined work objectives. Leaders and relevant personnel of Luanchuan Park and Song County Park of Funiushan UGGp attended the training. (Yang Kai)
