On the morning of April 20^th, the activity of science popularization into campus in the “4·22 World Earth Day Publicity Week” of Funiushan UNESCO Global Geopark was held in the lecture hall of Nanyang Fifth Pre-K-High Educational School, the first site.

Jian Dandan, master of ecology of Central China Normal University, vividly imparted relevant knowledge about nature reserves to students and teachers. Through the definition of geopark, introduction of star dinosaurs and other contents combined with the model display, she gave lectures on science popularization of geological and geomorphic relics, biodiversity and human history of Funiushan UGGp.

In the interactive Q&A session, by discussing and solving six questions such as “how to judge the age of dinosaurs”, Miss. Jian helped students understand Funiushan UGGp and geological relics and guided students to think while learn, gain in thinking and behave in gaining”, assisting the development of science popularization and education of Funiushan UGGp.

Nanyang Fifth Pre-K-High Educational School was put into use with high standards and full enrollment in the autumn of 2020. It is a 15-year consistent school integrating kindergarten, primary school, junior middle school and senior high school. Over 260 participants attended the lecture on science popularization knowledge open to the third and fourth grade students of the primary school department. The activity took advantage of science popularization knowledge publicity and interactive Q&A to lead a mass of teachers and students to know about the earth and nature reserves. Furthermore, the goal is set to be reached that people could behave themselves from trivial things on the receipt of education of ecological and natural protection and publicity.
