From December 1st to 3rd, 2025, a delegation from Leye-Fengshan Global Geopark visited Funiushan UNESCO Global Geopark for expedition and exchange, and signed an agreement to establish a sister park partnership.

At the signing ceremony, the representatives from both sides jointly watched promotional and popular science videos of Funiushan UNESCO Global Geopark, exchanged practices in geological heritage protection, scientific research, popular science promotion, and tourism development, and stated that they would develop cooperation in project construction, study tourism, and joint exhibitions in the next step based on actual needs and resource characteristics. Subsequently, accompanied by the staff of the Geopark, the delegation conducted on-site expedition at several representative sites including Laojun Mountain in Luanchuan, Danshui Geology Square, and Dinosaur Relic Park in Xixia, gaining a detailed understanding of Funiushan's advanced experience in eco-tourism planning, cultural IP development, and science popularization exhibition design.

Both parties will take this cooperation as an opportunity to establish a regular exchange mechanism, promote the transformation of the scientific value of geoparks and the coordinated development of regional economies, and provide a model case for global geological heritage preservation.
