On the morning of October 12, the Nanyang Funiushan Geopark Protection and Development Center, together with the Neixiang County Forestry Bureau and the Funiushan Global Geopark Neixiang Service Center, carried out the "International Day for Disaster Reduction" and the publicity campaign against the illegal mining and digging of dinosaur egg fossils in the Funiushan Geopark Square in Neixiang County. October 13, 2024 marks the 35th International Day for Disaster Reduction, and this year's theme is "Empowering Young Generations for a Resilient Future."

The event site through the popularization of science propaganda, display boards, hanging banners, set up information desk, dispatched publicity vehicles in the city tour publicity, distribution of publicity color pages, publicity brochures, publicity bags, visor hats, aprons and other forms of publicity. While popularizing the knowledge of disaster accidents and the basic skills of prevention and response, it also popularizes the knowledge about dinosaur egg fossils to the masses, introduces the typical cases of stealing and mining and selling dinosaur egg fossils in the region, and popularizes the laws and regulations related to the Nanyang Dinosaur Egg Group National Nature Reserve.While fully mobilizing the enthusiasm of the whole people to participate in disaster prevention and reduction, strengthening the public's awareness of disaster prevention and relief, improving ideological awareness and consciously protecting precious dinosaur egg fossil resources.
