On the morning of August 19, sponsored by the Nanyang Municipal Forestry Bureau and the People's Government of Xichuan County, the theme publicity activity for the 50th anniversary of the discovery of the first dinosaur egg in Henan Province was successfully held at the Songgang Pier in Xichuan County. Nanyang Funiushan Geopark Protection and development center, Xichuan County Forestry Bureau, Xichuan County Geopark Protection Center, Nanyang Dinosaur Egg Group national nature Reserve Xixia, Neixiang, Zhenping protection and development Center and other units participated in the activity.

Yan Qingwei, Party member and deputy director of Nanyang Forestry Bureau, stressed in his speech:Nanyang Dinosaur Egg Group National Nature Reserve is one of the largest, most abundant and most complete dinosaur egg fossil areas found in China, which is called the "cradle" of Chinese dinosaurs during the Cretaceous period. Since the establishment of the reserve, the municipal and county management agencies have actively organized and carried out the investigation, cleaning and protection work, and achieved remarkable results. It has been approved as "Land and resources science Popularization Base", "National Science Popularization Education Base", "Field Scientific Observation and Research Station of the Ministry of Natural Resources" and "China's Dinosaur Town". The event aims to enhance the public's knowledge and understanding of the Cretaceous dinosaur egg cluster, stimulate the general public's sense of responsibility and sense of mission, and jointly protect natural relics and extend life on earth.
