Funiushan Global Geopark organized "World Earth Day" activities

On the morning of April 22, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Global Geoparks Network, the 55th Earth Day and the 5th APGN Week, Funiushan Global Geopark jointly with Henan Provincial Territorial Spatial Survey and Planning Institute, Henan Provincial Geological Society, the Ministry of Natural Resources of Henan Xixia Cretaceous Dinosaur Egg Group Field Scientific Observation and research Station, Xixia County People's Government, Xixia County Natural resources and planning Bureau and other units, and jointly with Yandang Mountain, Danxia Mountain and other 45 geoparks, in Xixia Dinosaur Relic Park, a national science popularization education base, publicity activities with the theme of "Cherish the harmonious coexistence of human beings and nature on the Earth" were organized.

This activity is divided into “common kindness to the earth "- I painted the trees," Let the Earth not stray "- Cherish the Earth declaration signature, the "Friendly Sister Park Interaction" between Funiushan and 46 other geoparks，and the fifth Asia Pacific Geoparks Week and other parts. We have publicized to the public the national policy of natural resources and laws and regulations related to the protection of paleontological fossils, popularized scientific knowledge of the earth, paleontological fossils and natural resources, advocated that the whole society cherish the earth with practical actions, protect geological relics and natural resources, and guided the public to develop a sense of being kind to the earth, and treat the earth with their own actions, and practice the concept of "cherish the earth, harmonious coexistence between man and nature".

The "Friendly Sister Parks Interactive Exhibition" and the 5th Asia-Pacific Geopark Week series of activities include the launch ceremony of Earth Day activities, the promotion of Geopark science research courses and routes, the Earth Day science knowledge competition game, the "Global Geopark on Stamps", the 20th anniversary photo exhibition of geopark, the 8th "The Most Beautiful Earth Mark" popular science photography activity, and other activities. The geoparks participating in this activity span the six geographical regions of North China, Northeast China, Northwest China, East China, Central South China and Southwest China, with colorful geological and geomorphic landscapes such as colored hills, Danxia, granite, glaciers, karst, volcanoes, quartz sand peak forest , Yardang and deserts, spanning multiple geological ages, multiple climatic zones, multiple ecological habitats and multi-ethnic cultural systems. It vividly displays of our country's beautiful and diverse geological landscape and geological park culture.

On Earth Day, 46 geoparks launched a variety of activities online and offline, setting off a nationwide popular science boom to learn earth science knowledge and protect Mother Earth.
